Sydney Limited Street Rodders 3rd Re-union Lake Macquarie 13th to 15th October 2017
The third reunion of Sydney Limited Street Rodders had about 30 people in attendance. Bob Bowman had done the organising of this reunion and picked a very nice spot on Lake Macquarie.
Friday arrivals were greeted with a fine sunny day, albeit a bit breezy, it was the usual meet and greet catchup with friends.
As the wind picked up Bob had a windbreak that he carries everywhere(just in case) it protected us on the waterfront and then again blocking wind and later rain at the camp kitchen, where most of the festivities happened.
Friday night meals consisted of Beef soup and a Vegetable soup followed by Hamburgers, the girls did a fabulous job of well organised catering fro the weekend. It was BYO and everyone enjoyed the first night.
Saturday, we woke up to rain, everyone drifted over to the camp kitchen for a well organised brekky, bacon, eggs toast, cereal and juices, tea and coffee.
A run was organised for us all to visit the Gosford Motor Museum, we kept pretty close to formation all the way to the museum, with twelve hotrods lined up for a great photo shoot, unfortunately I couldn't get Neils modified japanese vehicle in the photo.
The museum is well worth a visit for the vast amount of cars and the huge mix of American, Aussie and European, a slide show of photos will be on the runs page. There was an Airstream caravan come diner at the front entrance and some of us opted for having our lunch there.
Cruise back, still in the rain, the back way via Wyong missing the Freeway. Bench sessions continued in the camp kitchen until dinner.
Once again a well organised dinner with a spit roast of beef and pork, vegetables and sweets hand made by the girls. We must be getting older as I don't recall any petrol being thrown into the spit.
Sunday the rain was still coming down and with brekky over with some of the guys decided to depart, considering the vast miles a few of us have travelled to enjoy this latest reunion.
Summing up, Bob must be congratulated for the organising of this catchup, the location, the food and the itinerary was a pleasure to be a part of. No amount of rain could dampen the spirit of everyone who attended.
Until the next one,
Kim.

Sydney Limited Re Union South West Rocks 2013
We had approximately 40 attendees over the weekend with 13 rods attending. Some members we hadn't seen for nearly forty years, Kim and Ken O'Sullivan(KO) came and it was great to catch up with them and to also energise KO to dust off the '34 coupe and start to have fun in a rod again.
Members came from far and near, Dave Nagle came up from Melbourne, picking up Bob Cane on the way in Batlow, must have been no room as June and Alby Heynes and the Cox's left Batlow also.
